In the words of a friend: Gene connects souls with his lyrics and then lifts them to heights of pure bliss with the haunting ache of a voice that wraps around and through, then gently LAYS THEM DOWN.

This song, (written by Lonnie Wright, P. Denton and L. Wigington), waited for Gene to walk into the studio and sing it. The song and Gene's voice were meant to meet. True and simple beauty.
Gene Thomas connects souls with his original tunes, and here we find too, that he can do the same with another's creation as well. Perhaps, and in fact, we know, it is because he truly makes it his own. And as always, Gene, such a giving man, shares the gift with us. Our friend, "danna," dubbed in some lovely harmony parts after I originally recorded this footage of Gene at his home with my little camcorder. The result is a joint effort that we are so pleased to present for friends, family and fans of the incomparable GENE THOMAS. His talent can't help but shine through, even with the low tech recording effort. I just set the thing up and let it roll practically the whole waking time I visited them. We forgot it was going half the time, but that was the idea I was going for. Relaxed and just doing something you love to do again. Feel free to join Gene's website: http://genethomastheoriginal.com/ "danna" also has a number of Gene Thomas slideshows on YouTube. Written by Gene in 1969, and recorded with Ed Starkey. This video was produced this year by Shannon Morris and Danna Moore with great respect for the song and it's writer.
