Gene Thomas ~ the original

I first met Gene when we walked the plank together on Noah's Ark. It seems Noah didn't like the songs I was playing at the Ark's Port Hole Club--said it was upsettin' his animals, so he shut it down. Well, Gene heard about this (cause he was scheduled to play there the next weekend) and raised such a rucus that Noah kicked us both off the Ark. I'll tell ya--if it hadn't  been for Joe Chapman coming by in his canoe, well, we wouldn't be here today. Thank God for minor miracles!
